Experimental :

These photos were taken
using a remote trigger with my camera attached to the rear of my car.
Setup was as follows: I used two
(2) Pocket Wizard Plus II wireless transceivers (801-125)
to trigger the camera (you will also need this
pre-trigger cable).
The camera was clamped and
extended from the car with a Bogen
Variable Friction Magic Arm (244),
a Bogen
Super
Clamp (035RL) and a the Bogen
Camera
Platform(143KT). Note the red dot near the steering wheel;
this is coming from the wireless trigger in my hand while
I was holding the
steering wheel. To light the intererior of the car, I
manually fired a Canon 580EX I flash (using the "test" button)
between 3 and 4 times with various colored gels (for example, note the
blue light on the steering wheel on image #7).  I pointed the
flash towards
me and around the inside of the car to
"paint" it with light during the long exposure. Camera was a
Canon 20D SLR
with Canon 17-40 f/4.0 L lens. Camera settings
available via EXIF information attached to each image. I was
a bit nervous especially driving down the highway with my camera
outside my car, but now I know just how solid the Bogen Magic Arm +
Super Clamp combination is.
